Memorial Day Weekend

We worked on our house the entire Memorial Day weekend (Friday thru Monday). We sure got a lot done. All of the exterior walls are framed and stood. Now we will start working on the interior walls. Sure is great to finally see something happening out there.

On Sunday afternoon we went up to the mountains to eat dinner and have marshmallows with Bub and Missy. It sure was good to get away from the work for awhile.

Paddle Fishing Trip

Friday, Saturday and Sunday we went camping at the Missouri River Breaks with Lea's entire family, Bub & Missy, and Travis & Walt Earl. The main highlight was the paddle fishing. Lyla got to play with her cousins and fish with her daddy.
Lea and Lane both caught a paddle fish, but I wasn't there to get any pictures of Lea's.

Mother's Day

We had a good Mother's Day. We finished backfilling around our house. Then we went out to dinner at the Black Diamond in Belt with my folks and Bub and Missy. It was quite tasty and Lyla was a pretty good girl. For Mother's Day, her Aunt MeMe helped her get some flowers and sign a cup. It was pretty darn cute!

Branding

Dad branded his calves the first weekend in May. This was Lyla's first branding that she would have remembered. We weren't so sure how it was going to go since she has been around them since they were born, but she liked it. She had to be there to pet every one. She even got to help brand one, hold one with Lea and ride the very last one (Papa and her named in Ralph)!

Lyla's First Hair Cut

Lyla got her first hair cut yesterday by Aunt Me Me. She has gotten several pretend hair cuts in the past. She did really good, but got squirmy towards the end.
